The Outsiders

What I learned from the character Johnny is that his past is pretty depressing. Johnny would get beat up by his dad and his mom never really listened to him. He had gotten beaten up by the Soc. He had also killed a Soc while trying to save Ponyboy. Johnny had changed after he killed the Soc and saved the kids from the burning church. He knew that he died in good way because he saved the little kids lives that were more important because they had so much more to live for. What I liked the most about this character is that he was a great person even though he had a rough life and always looked out for other people. What I liked the least about this character is that he had to die around the end.

I think that the best song that represents the character Johnny is a song called "Tell me why" by, Three Days Grace. I think that this song represents Johnny and his situation so well. In the song it talks about how life is good at some point by then everything turns around and it's just bad again and you don't know why. It can relate to Johnny's life because he killed a Soc trying to save Ponyboy, then saved little kids from a burning church which was brave of him. Although the outcome was bad he was in a really bad condition and well soon he died. Just like the song "it goes from good to bad and worst so fast."

  1. Interesting ideas here. Try to go a little further next time. Also, including the lyrics to the song will make your point much clearer.
