Butterfly

IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW YOU LOOK AT IT

I.
Terezin is full of beauty.
It's in your eyes now clear
And through the street the tramp
Of many marching feet I hear.

In the ghetto at Terezin,
It looks that way to me,
Is a square kilometer of earth
Cut off from the world that's free

II.
Death, after all, claims everyone,
You find it everywhere.
It catches up with even those
Who wear their noses in the air.

The whole, wide world is ruled
With a certain justice, so
That helps perhaps to sweeten
The poor man's pain and woe.

A Street Cat Named Bob

This book is about a guy named James Bowen. He lived a pretty normal life, like most of us would. He moved from Australia to London. He became homeless and was a heroin addict. Soon something changed his life completely. He found this Cat near where he lived and soon they became best friends. He decided to keep him and name him Bob. Soon James realized he had someone else to care of instead of himself so he had to work hard to feed Bob and himself. He works in this business called the Big Issue and everytime he would work there people ask him about Bob.

This book A Street Cat Named Bob by James Bowen teaches a really great lesson that I learned. Towards the end of the book he said “Everybody needs a break, everybody deserves that second chance. Bob and I had taken ours.” I think this quote from the book really teaches us a lesson. About how people should have a second chance in life. Many people might be struggling in life having a hard time. I think that people should have a second chance to betr their life situation or something good might happen to them like James. A street cat he decided to keep and name Bob reallly changed his life and how he had to work hard to take care of Bob and himself.

Hope Solo my story

The book is about a soccer player named Hope Solo. She started of playing in the field as a forward but then a goalkeeper. Hope was one of #1 goal keeper of the USA soccer players. Hope was the starter for goalkeeping along with Bri which she was in the second half. After playing for a while her dad died and that really affected how she played on the field. She then got in an argument with one of her teammates and that really ruined her career. Although she resolved that but got injured really badly on her shoulder.

This book really inspired me to practice more soccer and be get better at it and not give up. I really think that this book is good for people who like soccer and like to read about soccer players. Also how their lives began from little till now. Hope's life was pretty rough but that may not be shown on the field but it was pretty sad. I think that people don't really know the history behind soccer players and it's really interesting to learn about them because it might inspire you and look at them differently. Maybe even look up to them. Although Hope Solo life wasn't the best but it really surprised me how a famous soccer players life was sad and hard.

Propaganda

I thinks that this piece of propaganda is trying to say that Germany will take defeat and determine the future. I think that's why in the picture their raising flags. This propaganda audience is intend to the people who worship Hitler and think they might take over because they kill people and it motivates them knowing that they can win. I think that this propaganda really emphasizes the fact that their gonna rule the future since that's what the poster says. This can be affective because some people might think they can actually take over and it gets to their head and this can really lead children to believe it because they don't know much.

Advice From My Brother

The best advice that I had ever been given to if I recall was by my brother. My brother has always given me advice when I'm stressed out or worried about something. He gives me advice on school and how he doesn't want me to go through the same experience he had. He tells me to try hard at school and not give up. My brother always supports me it's everything and reminds me of how I should really try hard. To be successful in life because he waited to the last second to do things and he doesn't want me falling into the same thing he did when he was in high school.

Think Before You Say

One out of the many things I regret doing is saying something to one of my good friends. This happened not to long ago. I made them mad at me and feel down. I really regret this because I made them feel down and some other person too from what I said and I felt vulnerable.I know that till this day she's still gonna remember what I had said to her. Also that this is going to change our friendship. This really changed me as a person because it makes me think now that I should probably be more concise before I say something. Also to not let my anger affect some other person and say things that I don't mean just because im mad.
